Since I began teaching at SVSU in 2000, there has been an on-going problem with imaging the computers. A “debug” message appears, causing the browser to quit and students to lose all of their work. I have reported this to ITS “Help” Desk many times. However, this problem is still very much an ordinary event eight years running.
On Tuesday, after braving miserable traveling conditions in an increasingly bad storm, two of my students’ essay exams were lost, due to this failure to image the machines properly.
What can we do to resolve this on-going and disruptive problems in the labs?
